I am torn between a springer front end and an FLH type front end . Both look great. the FLH is probably a better handling bike. Springers just call to me. Ill have to check out more mods from forum members who have done one or the other. thanks for starting this group. great idea.

I know they are a bit pricey but I went with the FXRP floorboard kit from american classic motors on ebay and the kit bolted right up. I paid right at 400.00 for the kit and took about 45 minutes to put them on.

I'm anxious to see how MoCo mounted them in combination with shifter and brake....would like to see some close up pics of the floorboard set-up...If you got or can get any: please post them!
I checked with my dealer on the boards, same part # as fl softails.

Just notice that this thread was resurrected. The new FLD will make conversions much easier. Runnin' boards that actually fit! A complete front end! Hard bags that don't require mods to mounting brackets! No more spending hours on eBay searching for that part. No more being told, "That won't fit." But what is the fun in that?
I want a t-**** that says, "I made mine an FL before the FLD was Cool."

Sorry I don't have any new pics. My paint has been delayed so long that Harley had time to make their own FL-Dyna.

For those that have done the Softail front ends, HD make the Freight Train Nacelle for it. part # 67907-96C

Hey convincor -

The fella who posted just before you, ackman1968, used to sport that same nacelle on his bike ....

He found that, due to the lesser stock rake of the Dyna frame, the nacelle aimed the headlight lower than the Softails ... there was not enough adjustment in the headlight to allow him to use it satisfactorily ... your results may vary ....

Good luck ...

Just comparing front ends at dealer, softail front is 2" shorter than the dyna. So I can see were headlight angle would be quite different.
