Default Sick of the stupid seat nuts

In the process of swapping out my tins, decided I wanted to get rid of the seat nuts. Welded in a steel bar and drilled and tapped it so it is permanent, the threaded area is 1/2" thick, doubled the metal. Also flattened the walls to add a little more clearance while I was at it. Will be sending the new fenders off for paint. Going black....Guess some of you have rubbed off on me....lol

"Will be sending the new fenders off to Joe for powder coat"

Maybe you should sent it to Harley so they can get a clue.

Going gloss black, to match the SG tank I bought from bberck. Threaded them 5/16x18 so I could use these.
Will look better when solo.

Would be nice if they did this, not difficult to do.

good mod. I like seeing creative solutions to nagging annoyances. Is your front fender metal? Wondering if that gets the powdercoat or if it is fiberglass do ya gotta send out to paint black.
