I'm going to use blocks for the rear, what I was really asking is how hard it it for me to lower it myself with a kit like the one HD sells for 99.00 is the kit just a drop in after you pull the old springs?>

I live about an 1.5 hrs northeast of LB...maybe I will take a run down there...I'll need to get out and ride for sure...I have to be on station at 6pm to recover the space shuttle tonight so I can;t even go riding today, need to get a nap later LOL....

thanks for the heads up....
the H-D kit adds an additional top out spring to lower the bike. This does involve pulling the entire fork assembly apart, installing the spring, and putting back together again.
