I hope my dremel is strong enough to cut the bracket. That's all I've got to use.

Call me crazy but I kinda like the look of the cow bell on my bike. Now if I had a bike that was all chopped up I would definatly lose the bell and let the engine shine.

Well, a Dremel will definitely cut through that bracket. I sliced it off, polished it up and painted it with some old touch-up paint I had laying around. The section left is barely visible anyway.

Getting the bracket out was a little tricky. What made it much easier was removing the lower tank bolt and propping the back of the tank up with something. Once I did that, removing it was much easier.

Definitely a good mod. I didn't mind the look of the bell, but it rubbed my leg sometimes when I'm stretched all the way out.

I already took off the horn and thinking of where to put it on my Fat Bob.....I kinda like the idea of using it as a support for the wire.....thanks.....I may use that one.

I got my bike out for a few minutes today, and yeah, it's much better without that cowbell. No buzzing on my left knee, even in full stretch. Thumbs up to this mod for sure!

Well - thanx guys! I got to thinking that I never really liked the horn where it was - and I hate that cow bell thing. So.......this afternoon being Saturday 'n all and as I was only kicking my heels anyhow, I wandered off to the garage and attacked the horn. It's now moved down to near the reg / rec and I've knocked up a fillet piece to replace the cow bell out of some 1/4" thick Aluminium plate. It hides some of the gubbin's behind there and things now look like this! I think it looks a bit tidier now so I'm quite pleased with my few hours work.
