Yeah, i took the bracket off of the jugs, drew a line straight across and cut it and grinded it flush. then I just hit it with some high temp paint (idk if it was necessary, but i had it layin around so i figured why not)

One of my favorite mods, and didn't cost a dime!

Nice. I thought about it, but decided against it. I used the bracket as a holder for the spark plug wire.

What was that bracket holding onto where you have it circled? Could you just remove it completely? I really like the open cylinder look.

The bracket that goes jug to jug, I removed it to cut off the portion that the horn mounted on, painted, and bolted it back on. I wouldn't let it ride w/ the bracket off completely though.

That does look better with that piece cut off. Did you have to remove the tank to get that bracket out of there? I hate removing the tank on this bike.

Here's how mine turned out:

You can use the bracket as a support for your front cylinder wire.

WS6, yours looks great. I looked at your pictures before I did mine. The bracket on my bike looks a bit beat up for some reason though, so I'm going to cut it out like the OP did. Thanks for the pics, both of you!
