Default ?? blacked out fork legs ??

What is the best way to black out my fork Tubes. i am worried if i have them painted they will scratch while reinstalling them.

The beauty of painting them is if you do scratch them you can touch them up. Or you can have them powdercoated.

arent they already blacked out??? I noticed when I changed mine out with chrome ones that the factory ones scratch super easy.... So i would with powdercoating them... I got my factory set in my garage I am wanting to get rid of if your interested...

Anodizing, I think, would be the best thing to do for the fork leg.

you cannot anodize or paint the fork tubes black... there is a process by which to have fork tubes done in black.... Russel at Exile cycle did it to his rockstar chopper ... be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for it.... you could get them coated in titanium nitrite which gives them a gold color....

a painted or anodized fork tube will not have a slick enough surface for the tubes to function properly

now if you said tubes but really meant the trees.... get em powdercoated or buy the black set H-D now sells for your bike.

some motocross bikes have anodized tubes so it should work fine

I'm going with fork gaiters/boots to cover up the bling. Its cheap, not as attractive, but works the same and is headed to where I want the bike to be. Will also powdercoat the trees...
