+1...do NOT spray the ez-off directly on the pipes without covering EVERYTHING behind your pipes.

did this **** one time...sprayed ez off on the length of my pipes because i burned gym pants on them. came back a half hour later to a black bike with a white motor. and swingarm. and tranny. and half a fender.

I like the friend / girl friend doing the scrubbing on the chrome pipes, but what about the painted pipes? And do I have to provide the beer for everyone?

After two repetitions of this exact method my girlfriend has finally learned to keep her damn foot on the peg!
Id have to agree it only took one time and about a six pack and a lesson was learned. she was new to the riding thing though.

Default Black pipes

Plastic strap from my tank bag found its way onto my pipes while riding. Noticed the smoke/smell while at a stop light. I found that if you wipe the melted plastic off while the pipes were still hot that no residue was left. I used a cotton tee shirt in my garage. Your friend might be kind enough to loan you his/hers.

Before the E-Z Off...heat up the pipes and get a popsicle stick and scrape off what you can.
