Cutting baffles??
Has anyone cutdown the baffles on their V&H big radius pipes? I was reading some other threads and didnt realize you could do this to make it a little louder. What are the pros and cons of doing it this way? Maybe I shouldn't be so cheap and get the BCT baffles? Would it be deeper or raspier like straight pipes?

I have a set of Santee pipes on my bike which are pretty much identical to V&H Long Shots. The baffles for these pipes were something like 18" long when I took them out of the box. I cut all but 4" of them off and installed them that way when I put the pipes on the bike. My bikes not obnoxiously loud but it sounds good. I get a lot of compliments on how my pipes sound. It also still has more low end torgue than what it had when it had drag pipes on it. If I were you I'd take a hacksaw to those baffles in your Big Radius. If you're not happy with the results you can always still get the BCT baffles.

I cut the ones in mine as well, a pain in the A$$ to weld them back together (but I am not a welder either) I only removed about 3" from mine, I have not noticed it being any louder, the only thing that I have noticed is the decel pop happens more now. Not sure cutting them was as good of ideal as originally thought.
