I'll concede that the I was dropped in '07 because H-D stopped offering bikes without fuel injection. It's still important to note that only the '06 carries the FXDBI label. I don't know the specific differences between the TC-88 and the TC-96 (other than the displacement) but there are bound to be some parts that don't interchange.
