Some friends of mine have a heavy truck transport business and also work on those big rigs. They have a large adjustable transmission jack for raising and lowering parts on and off trucks. It has a large flat surface which I think would be perfect to lift my bike for the shock switch. Question is has anybody used anything like this or anything else when lifting their bikes for working on?

Just remember there is a trans/engine gaurd under the bike. Make sure that it can be picked up without the bike leaning to much.
