HD Service Bulletin M-1185, 8 deg to 25 deg injectors

RE: HD Service Bulletin M-1185, 8 deg to 25 deg injectors
I think it also depends on how knowledgeable your service intake guy and mechanic is. I just brought my bike in for service and the intake guy had no idea what I was talking about and basically clipped my copy of the service bulletin to my paperwork. Mechanic said he didn't notice any probs - sit and wait.
When I went to pick up my bike the next day both the intake guy and the mechanic for my bike were both off. The mechanic had forgotten to sign off on the post-work completed test ride. So the other intake guy had a "master mechanic" ride the bike who came back and said he didn't notice anything wrong with the bike. When I asked about the fuel injectors and mentioned that the bike would sometimes sputter when accelerating from a stop as in at a stop light, he said, that's not good - we'll get the new fuel injectors installed. The stealership doesn't have them in stock, but they're going to order them so they should be installed next week.
Thanks to this forum I'm well informed about this problem and am getting the issue address. I just wish HD and the dealers were more pro-active about these things so we didn't have to be.

Hey guys if your dealer gives you any problems with replacing the injectors just threaten to email them that giant service bulletin and let them know it will destroy thier website and once they see it they will be begging to fix your bike for free...
