Don't know where you live, so the legal aspect of it may not need to enter into your decision at all. Besides, I just read about something up MA way about the cops voluntarily testing guys' pipes. None of the aftermarket pipes passed the tests. Zero, nada, zip. Only way to pass the tests was to have completely stock pipes.

My solution? Run what ya want, but behave yerself in town!

The difference between the two are at opposite ends of the perfomance scale. The drags are basically meant for just that (drags), where as a 2 into 1 will scavenge your engine and give you more power. Drags are not a performance "enhancement" but a good 2 into 1 IS

Kata, have you thought about buying chrome then using black exhaust wrap? I don't know what the reletive pluses and minuses are of doing that but it is worth considering if you can't find a blackend 2 into 1.

For performance? Definitely a 2 into 1. Thunderheader makes some that are black. If you don't like those, there are shops out there that do black ceramic coating. It's not too expensive either. I'm going to be getting my shortshots coated for about a hundred bucks.
