how do i wire the fuel level float to the guage?
i have the float and i have the guage, what i dont know is where to hook all the wires. the guage has an orange and a black, which i know are for power and ground. also has a yellow wire, and has 2 screw terminals, the float has a black wire and a pink wire coming off of it.
how do i hook this thing up?
here is a pic of what i have.

on mine, a 2002, the orange and black from the gauge goes through the tank and out the bottom through that "straw" looking tube. it should connect to the orange and blk coming off the main harness. Mine has no yellow.
the pink and black would connect to the gauge. not sure where exactly.
looks like the pink has been replaced by someone. i assume this is used parts?
Mine had white and black comin from the sending unit.

Eric,
here's a wiring diagram for the 2003 Dyna models:
IMO the yellow/white wire in the diagram is the pink wire in your image.
The black wire is the earth wire, orange wire is the power supply wire.

thanks, i actually just got in from the garage, i got it working, its just as you said. the signal wire from the sending unit, goes to the yellow wire on my guage.
man the guage is really slow moving, after i manually move the float to the full position it took almost a whole min for the needle to go up.
