Handlebar options for a Bob

Handlebar options for a Bob
Hey all from Bombarded Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Between the rockets falling and F-16's flying overhead, I found some time to replace my bars for the second time,
and after several requests i would like to share the info:
24h. after getting the bike home, the stock mini-apes were swapped for CCI #110033 - XLX-style handlebars.
The bars were installed on the stock risers. Throttle and clutch cables were had to be re-routed to avoid binding.
These bars are 32" wide and have 7" pullback. However, they prove to be too far
(I guess it has to do with the fact that they were originally designed for a Sportster, and the Dyna has around 4" more stretch in the back-bone)
And dictated too much forward reach for my 6'1" frame.
Then, last week, I finally found the time to replaced them with CCI #42937 – Dave Perewitz Wide-Track handlebars.
Again, stock risers, and the front brake line will have to be replaced (because the Bob stock line is the hard type one, and cannot be routed properly).
These bars are 33" wide and have a 12" pull-back. They are designed for Road-Kings and such.
The seating position is now very relaxed, straight-up (with a slight forward reach). Great leverage and control on the front.

RE: Handlebar options for a Bob
Bobber Rider,
That really looks great! I love the look and feel of the mini-apes, but being a short person, I sometimes feel that a shorter bar maybe be better for me. This might be an option for me! Thanks for the info and pics.
Be safe and it's good to know that riding your scoot sometimes helps in blocking the troubles around you.

RE: Handlebar options for a Bob
(snip)I use the flattrack style bars on my Dyna and use the stock risers. I didn't have to re-route anything (snip)
Same here, I used Flanders wide flat track bars pre dimpled for Harley in black powdercoat.I love every thing about them except the price.I didn't have to re-route anything but I may still I'm not crazy about the excess clutch cable or the funky hard brake line designed for the mini apes.
