They're not comfortable. It's basically a piece of leather over a 1/2" of foam on a steel seat pan supported by crappy springs on top of a bike with you guessed it, springs.

I had a solo spring seat on my bike way before the HD one was ever thought of. It looked cooler than S***. But i messed up my shoulder at work and every time after that it really hurt my arm. not really comfy.... but the looks.....well you just cant beat it.

Like country punk said, it also depends alot on the seat. If its just a little crappy seat, a couple springs won't do much to make it comfy. I ran this on my shovel for a while. Defenietly not what you would want to tour on. But neither is a Shovel. I sat on the new Crossbones spring seat and it was a heck of alot more comfy than mine. But that seat would look AWFUL on a dyna.

I have one.

Amazing how some people who have never rode the HD spring solo have opinions on comfort and quality.

By the way Quality is A+ and so it should be for the $$$ price.

Comfort is good for short rides 100 miles or less. Keeping in mind the design is basically from the 40`s the overall comfort is better than expected.

The springs are really stiff you get no added suspension from them but no big deal.

Bottom line is I like the seat.

rooster that seat looks alot better than imagined, kind of cool if you ask me, and thanks for the info bobber s glad someone chimed in with a sprung solo. I have the HD badlander solo and it isnt even that comfortable but looks better than stock.

I like the look but still not sure if it's the way to go.I'm planning on some serious miles this year so I'll have to think about it.
