According to you, what is the need of a sissy bar? Back support, Looks, tradition, bobber, sixties or what????

Just need something to strap a 12 pak to. And an occasional bag for a weekend trip. So function is the main purpose.

Back support for my girlfriend, while I have just purchased my bike and am beginning to add my extras, I will be setting it up with a sissy bar w/pad and quick release side plates for when she rides with me, we purchased the bike with intentions of both enjoying it, so I will do my best to make sure she is comfortable.

I use mine to keep the wife from falling off and occasionally if I am traveling with a bag I will put it on to tie my bag to. Any other time, I don't use it....makes my bike look ugly IMO
