RE: Radials on a Dyna
very interesting.
i've always heard:
1.) that the only downside to radials is cost. [and even finding radial tires to fit HD]
2.) they generate LESS heat [all the sportbikes are running radials at 100+ mph. why would they go with a hotter running tire?]
3.) they have better mileage-life than bias. [this part i'm not sure about]
4.) if you put a tube in a tubeless tire you drop one speed rating. [i don't do sustained 120mph rides so i don't care.]

RE: Radials on a Dyna
i'm putting an Avon Venom 180/55-18 radial on my bike this winter as one of my many mods. I can't see a downfall to using radials...Thier milage may suffer, i dont know, but i would assume just the opposite as the rolling resistance is much less. It must have to do with the softer compound of some aftermarket tires and not that radial aspect...Compare a truck with bias tires and tehn radials...it will feel like you had the hand brake on with the bias, theres a big difference in rolling resistance
