deep sound + performance = thunderheader........

V&H Pro Pipe and D&D FatCat are some other nice ones......

You can't go wrong with any of the selections above if you want a nice deep sound and some extra horses.

cycle shack turn-outs on my FXDX. IMO, look great, reasonable price, and do the job as far as a nice sound, including car alarms!

I use V&H Big Radius. The sound is deep and throaty and I like the way they look. There's a huge performance difference between these and stock pipes, but I got the stage 1 kit, download, and remapping all done at the same time. So I'm sure it's a combination of those things and not JUST the pipes.

I was told that these are the loudest pipes you can get and still be legal in all 50 states. Could be salesman BS, but that's what he said. They're deffinately not the loudest pipes I've ever heard, but I'm totally satisfied with the look, sound, and performance.

Rinehart 2:1

Put them on my 06 FXDI along with the SE intake. Save you money on the dealer download with this combo and invest the $150 (been there done that and the dealer gave me half of it back as a compromise) in something else. I put the Thundermax on and it runs great & sounds even better.

It's my understanding that with slip-ons you don't need to retune,
at least untill you add a new A/C.
Is this correct?
I would like to improve the sound now and performance later.
Money/Wife issue LOL

I am running the Screaming eagle tapered torque slip-ons # 80061-00 on my 06 superglide with no download.
Bike runs great and has a nice deep sound when you get on it but mellows out nicely while cruising. Definity loaded than stock but does not leave you ears ringing when you get off.
