I paid for the fluids- the labor was "free".

About $350. Fluids were free but I had a flat as I rolled up to the dealer. That cost me $70. Then, while waiting, I bought some crap I didn't need in the store. That's the plan, you know. Get you in there waiting so you'll by more stuff...

Took mine to a local mechanic and got synthetic for $170. The dealer wanted $350.

zero, zip, nada, zilch

Dealer included the 1K service with the bike, so it didn't cost me a dime (although they did try to sell me on Syn3--no thanks). I did end up paying them 1.5 hrs labor to install the bags and windshield, simply because it was easier at the time

About $40 or so. Bought the oil at Wal Mart (Mobile 1). Filter and other fluids from the dealer. Did it in my garage in an hour or so. It's really not all that difficult, just basic maint stuff. Less involved than the 10K.
