Default Engine Guard or no ??

Just wondering what everyone thinks about the crash bar on Dynas ?? We are having the debate at work. Some guys think it looks good, some think it look out of place on a Dyna ( the whole chopper look ).

No wrong answer here.....just what you think.

Would be nice for a long cruise, but I want a quick way to take it off.

...or come up w/some tube-mounted quick off that has extended hiway pegs.

I do have an engine guard on my Dyna. I don't necessarily think it looks "good" but it looks OK to me and it certainly serves a purpose. Two purposes in fact-- the main one being the obvious protection in case of tip over and the other for mounting highway pegs since I kept the mid controls on mine.

Agreed, Diane...

I'm a new rider and have no qualms whatsoever about a bit of extra protection to cover some personal transgression. Looks are of secondary importance to function for me!!!

I have `em on mine and I like the look. I too kept the mid pegs and needed a place to stretch out on long rides (I'm 6'2"). They are not quickly removed so I just leave them on...

I put the mustache bar on my wife's Heritage and it looks good. Personally, I don't want one on my Dyna.

Couple more months and these should be out:

Kuryakyn FWD Control Hiways

I think they will look a whole lot better than a crash bar--I plan on trying them out once they hit the market

attached some highway pegs. sure allows me to stretch out on the long drives. also provides some protection to the engine, in case i get drunk or stupid and forget to put the sidestand down.
