I'm planning on doing the same process to my pipes . Is it difficult to remove the heat shields on the header pipes ? Could you give me some tips on how it's done ??

the shields are held on by some hose clamps, just loosen up and pull them off (that's the factory setup l think)

Yeah they are just hose clamps, so a screwdriver and 5 minutes is all it takes to take them off.
