21" Tires

21" Tires
I know another 21" question. First off my local indy rocks....so far. He only charged me $5 to take my front tire off the rim. He'll charge 30 to true my 21" when I get it done.
I know some are running Metz 880's for the 120 70 21, but what is the part number to make sure I order the right one also for the rear if avail. I know there was someone running a 21" dunlop, but forgot what thread that was.
So my question is am I making the right decesion with the metz or what do you guys recommend and if you have part numbers, please include them.
Thanks!

I have a 21" up front on my Wide Glide but that's an avon Venom X,it's only a 90/90-21 Not nearly as wide as yours but sure beats the stock dunlop's! I have about 10000 miles on it so far and it's not really wearing at all? I don't know if avon makes a wide 21" but it might be worth looking into, they don't do the drift thing where they follow any crack in the road! LOL

I agree with the Dunlop E3. It is a touring compound and should last longer. It has no tread grooves that run the circumfernce of the tire like the old D402...all the tread grooves come frome the edges toward the center of the tire. And as advertised, they do not follow grooves in the pavement. The E3 21" front tire is also a little bit wider at 3.54" wide compared to the D402 that my Wide Glide came with which measures 3.25" wide...according to Dunlops overall width spec in their product brochure. The spec sheet shows the E3 has 1/32 more tread depth than the old D402...6/32" compared to 5/32". The Dunlop part # is 4079-21 for the (bias ply BW) E3 90/90-21
