Default Trouble inserting wires into AMP connector?

I know this could go elsewhere, but there's a bunch of posts in the Dyna forum about crimping and removing wires from the AMP multi lock connectors. I've got them crimped well, but am having an issue shoving them into the connector. They're the right size and everything, no bulges on the crimp, it's oriented the right way to mate with the latch, but the wire bends when I try to shove it in there and I lose my leverage. Are there any tricks to this? It's like I need something to shove it in there with but there's not much room to work with.

Any help appreciated.

If you used an exension kit the wires are wanting to twist on you, hopefully wait to heat shrink after you install the new plugs in the connector. Don't give up.

Try using a very fine instrument maker's, blade type screwdriver pushing directly on the crimped pin. You should be able to buy a cheap set of these fine screwdrivers at your local tool store.

This may be a stupid comment, as I'm almost sure you've already tried this, but have you tried putting pins in the opposite way, as in 'upside down' from what you've already tried?

Also, are you sure that you got multilock pins and terminals? and not deutch?

At work sometimes we have to load 100 pin or socket deutsch connectors and the trick we use is just a small dab of vaseline ion the pin end helps it thru the rubber insulator, try that with the amp connectors.
