Default Dyna Bike of the Month

a while back, there was a BOM that was ran by Devilsreject (I think) and it went away for some reason. I think everyone looked forward to it each month, but it wasnt just a dyna thing, it was open to all models. Seeing as how that went away, anyone else want to try to get a BOM going just for Dyna models. I am just throwin this out for input cause I wouldnt even know where to start but I know there are some guys here that might. So a poll to guage input.

We tried this a few months ago. It got real nasty and the mods shut er down.

I'd like to see it tried again.

I don't see a point in it besides some people getting all pissed off and throwing a fit. On second thought that would probably be hilarious so yea might as well try it again.

+1 on what Thomas said.

It always ends up being a cluster f****. Too many problems with who/how bikes get nominated, people spamming votes for their bud who just seemed to become members to vote, etc.

We've tried a few times to bring it back but always gets screwed up.

Just a lot of BS involved, too much work for the mods. Can't blame them for just scrapping it.

Yup. Everyones pannies got all in a bundle and started to whine and cry about some silly nonsense. I thought it was cool, but a few A-Holes had to ruin it for everyone.

Hey Adrian I didn't ruin it for everyone.

Seriously though, we don't need any silly bike of the month thing, it just causes too much trouble. If you like someone's bike just tell them. I'm sure no one has done things to their bike just to impress a bunch of people on the internet and have them vote it as bike of the month, right? At least I hope I'm right...
The people with the nice bikes I'm sure would be just as happy with a pm from someone saying "Hey, nice bike" and not having to deal with others getting all pissy in a bike of the month contest.

It's ridiculous. It's the same as people who say "tell me what you think" and then get all nasty when what you say doesn't match what they want to hear. There's no purpose for a BOTM. This Forum has been best in the sharing of corrective/preventive/cosmetic services/repairs/modifications. Reading people's opinions on what bike looks best is a waste of time. However, reading how to fix a difficult problem or how to prevent a problem from happening - that is what makes this Forum so good..!

Agreed but don't forget the smart *** comments which also make the forum entertaining and what keeps me coming back.
