Home-fab'd license plate and new tank emblems
I finally took the photos of my backyard vertical plate bracket. Only cost me a $20 tip to the guy who MIG'd it (I only have stick and torch) and price of a few washers and bolts at Lowe's. I just used the support piece from the factory mount that screwed to the fender and the sliding bracket to help secure it. Just for effect I masked the plate and sprayed a black border around the outside, but you probably can't see that.
As far as the new emblem, I know lots of Bob owners don't like the big brushed aluminum letters. The piece I bought is an old brake caliper insert for '99 and earlier models, it came already backed with 3M tape. I wanted something to show off the paint more and this does it.
I'll try not to post huge pictures, but no promises

Another MacGyver! I have been waiting for Kuryakyn's curve sidemount, which should be out next month, but that looks pretty good. I like the way yours look, becuase it does not have a frame, so it doesn't stand out as much. What do you do for lighting the plate?

KADUKU - I have a remote mount lamp bolted 93,000,000 miles from the plate. It doesn't work everyday, but the lamp is solar powered so it doesn't use any amps.
To be serious for a second, I only ride during the day right now. Custom dynamics (site sponsor) is about 40 minutes from my house and when I get the LED kit like tb2377 has I'll just aim one of those diode's towards or on the plate.

Nice looking stuff there. I've actually got several little spots I'm thinking of adding the decorative emblems .... one of which is just behind the key to keep whatever fob it's on from wearing through the finish. Derby looks nice as well. Good Stuff.
