Danny Gray weekday solo on FXD
The hole should be there and maybe a plastic plug in it. You may have to add a blind nut. After that switching back and forth takes a minute.

I ran a vintage Mustang on my Sportster for over 40k. I went with the new Mustange Tripper for the Dyna. Best $$$ ever spent.

I agree. I have 13 inch shocks and have tried most of the solos - mustang vintage, bare bones, corbin hollywood. never seemed to look right with the back end so high. finally settled on a lepera daytona sport. looks just right and it's more comfy than most of the solos. might as well be a solo - not sure your going to convince anyone to ride on the back of that seat.

I have a C&C lopro solo. I love it; excellent quality; great customer service and more comfortable than any other solo I've had.. I highly recommend it. No need to drill the fender; there is a hole already there.

Danny Grey solo; best looking and most comfortable, Sturgis and back last summer from Southern Alberta...Corbins are too old style for my bike and take a bit of break-in; they also don't hold me in place when I twist the wick up...Mustang's look, um, big...a buddy has one and it is comfortable. You ride enough to get used to just about whatever you want to. Got mine on e-bay, I think it's discontinued...like the '01 FXDX; mine's an '01 FXDXT.

Few questions from nooby.

1. What is the best SOLO seat that I can purchase, comfort, look and installation are a factor

2. Do you have to drill the rear fender when you install the seat or is there an existing bolt hole or something of the sort.

3. Is it easy to reinstall the old seat if wifey wants a ride to the restaurant or daughter wants to be picked up at school

4. Are JELL seats better.

Thanks people, you've been a huge help so far. Let's go for one more.

André
!. I installed a C&C leather seat and I love it. It's comfortable, reasonbly priced and looks great.
2. No drilling; there's already a hole where you need to attach the seat.
3. Yep! It's just a matter of "screwing it" in the single or two up configuration.
4. Jell seats are available from C&C, but I chose not to buy one.
