I would take a ride on both. I have the 2010 wide glide and I wouldn't give it up for nothing. Everyone wants to look at it when I stop. It gets looks, sounds good, comfortable seat, and plenty of power.

It is hard to say for me as I have never been out on a 2010 WG but I sure love my "old style" '03

+1 what he said, but I have a fatbob...Two different machines, two different animals...Fatbob is perfect in DC for avoiding and handling potholes.

I have ridden the FB, very smooth ride, but I wouldn't trade what I have for one.

I do have a pick up but its a Mazda B4000 that's a small wheel base. And I'm not saying nothing bad about the FB or any other bike for that matter just stating witch one I prefer out of the two. I agree, "Pick the one you like and to heck with the rest of us".

We know what some things are... by knowing what they're not.

The 130mm front rubber, 16" wheels, short wheel base, dual disk front brakes...
Ask any one who rides one farther than a demo ride and they'll tell you...
the Fat Bob is a rider's machine.
OK You said there's no comparison I took that as saying the FB is better. And I have road a FB from Winston Salem to and all the way down and back up the BRP so I have road one form more than a road test. I still like the ride and all of "my WG" better. I love the look and all the FB and they are great bikes. Not saying anything bad about ether one just saying I prefer "my WG".

You guys have helped me make up my mind. Tax time is next month and so will be the new 2010 WD in my Garage. I love the look and the ride.
So how hard would it be to add duel brakes to a WD. Tire+wheel+calipers+hoses+master? Doable?
Any advice from those that have purchased new? What to pay for, what not?
Price haggle any or just bought it and went home?

It's real easy... when the factory does it.

Best of luck with your choice of WG 2010 I saw one the other day and it has grown on me. Very nice bike. You will pay premium because its a new re-model and alot of demand.

Opinions are like ********.....lol

I would recommend taking one of each and going for a ride for part of a day. Maybe rent each for a day. Find out for yourself which you prefer for whatever reasons. Screw everyone elses opinions, go with yours. Seein is believin I always say.......

Good luck either way.
