i am thinking of changing my seat. the current one i like the looks of but after riding for say 40 minutes or so, my butt goes to sleep. i didn't notice this or have a problem until i put on the forward controls but either way, i need to do something with the seat. (i like the forward controls too much to take them off)
so i like the look of the current seat but not the touring comfort. What is a good seat to look for? or has anyone tried the air cushions i've seen on Ebay? This would seem to be the best of solution if they are any good.

yo man l kinda have the same problem on my 99 fxdx, like you l have the fwd controls on and l kinda like 'em, if u don't mind taking u'r old seat apart try buying some gel pads (jcwhitney.com) and take your seat to a good upholstery shop and let them insert those into the padding of the seat and then re-upholster that baby. that's what l did and l'm loving it

 

Hey that sounds like a winner and will keep the stock look. i actually have a friend that has a shop. do the gel pads work pretty well? sounds like a winter thing.
