Not disagreeing with you at all Howard, El Chiguete mistyped the unit of measurement (switched 0.XXX" to 0.XXXmm) hence the beer can comment. I'm well aware the by increasing the diameter of a tube and deacreasing the wall thickness, you can achieve lighter/stonger parts. The bicycle industry is a prime example of that.
Regardless of all that, you are THE HD suspension guru! And I'd love a set of those adjustable preload caps for 49mm forks!
Jimmy, you have been around for a long time and a real asset to this forum. I did not read into you not agree/disagree, this was a way to make a lot clearer why you should not try and kill yourself and also get an incite into the articles and TV master builders. You see not to believe everything you read as this subject comes up a lot. Jimmy, I did not mean to insult you by accident.
