Lots of low mileage bikes out there. I wouldn't buy a used bike with more than 10k miles on it.

I'm with Toastman. Picked up an '03 Ultra Classic with just 8K-mi. and minor cosmetic damage for $7K, and an '07 RKC with 13K-mi. needing lower tree, tubes, lowers & a fender for $7K. Took just $500 in parts to get the RKC rolling, now getting the fender color-matched for another $300. Can ride the UC as-is, but will replace the right saddlebag and its guard bar. Deals are out there, especially if you broaden your horizons and consider one needing TLC.

There are a lot of deals out there, I picked up my 02 FXDX with 9k and in showroom condition with a nice 95 build for 8k.

used bikes is where it's at, I would rather have the bike that looks to be in the best shape over the one with the least miles. To me that shows how the owner cared for the bike which is more important than a few thousand miles of difference.

You gonna keep yours under 10K so you can sell it?
