Default FXDWG Wide Glide Fork Brace

I was wondering if you can notice any difference in handling after you have put one of these on your Wide Glide. If so, how much difference?

I have the titanium one from kuryakyn and it's night and day! Really makes the glide stable in the corners!

I thought mine made a difference too until I took it off, then I realized it was more like a placebo, but I like the looks so I have since put it back on. I really do not notice a real difference.

Ditto...I DID have a slight handlebar wobble once when riding on I-10 at 85 mph with the Super Brace OFF the bike. But, it might have been contributed by the windshield, crosswinds and the road surface of the interstate. I can't say the Super Brace would of made a difference...I dunno.

I decided to put it back on anyway...worse case is it adds about 1 1/2 lbs of unsprung weight.

I didn't think I noticed a difference until I rode a couple of other bikes without it and noticed that the front end was not as stable. It really was concerning when I was hitting an off ramp at 60+ mph and noticed that the bike was drifting to the outside due to the instability I felt in the front end. I also noticed that the front tire followed defects in the road more... but then again I also have a 120 front tire along with the fork brace so some of that could be due to the combination of both, but my front end feels solid and I am not removing my fork brace.

The front tire tracking grooves in the road would not be an issue of a brace or not. With the stock Dunlop it was a huge issue on my WG, the Metzeler erased that issue completely.
Too many variables between bikes to compare 2 different bikes.
Hey, I like mine, looks good, I have made other mods that may have rendered it to strictly eye candy status though.
Even getting rid of the flimsy front fender in favor of the heavy one I have now could have made a difference.
If having one gives you confidence, then by all means...strap one on......
