Default fxr troubles

my wife recently got me 93 FXRS and it ran great for about 300 miles. while riding she sputtered and died on the highway, drifted to the side of the road and started up again for another 10 miles or so then totally quit. tested the batt holding 12.74v. ground connection is good. new plugs. today riding for maybe a mile died again, and is runnin really hot. any suggestions?

Yeah, that wont help if there's something wrong with the vacuum part of the petcock.

Try to check your fuel tank for water or maybe some rust.it may have got into your carb or it may just be loose drifting around inside your tank.

My '96 started acting that way. A $29 Arlen Ness petcock fixed her right up.
