I own a HD detachable windshield and I don't have much of a problem with buffeting. I move it up or down on the upper forks until I minimize it. I will do Daytona on my Dyna with no problems. Would touring rig work better for long hauls? Sure. Would it work better around town and on short hops? No. I'm always tempted to move to a bagger, but the fact is the majority of my riding is around town. When I do take trip, my Dyna works fine.

Check out the Garmin Nuvi (not Zumo) 550. It is Motorcycle friendly (waterproof and internal rechargeable replaceable battery), along with multi stop route capability. About $275 and very effective for a simple GPS to help you (when you need it).

Thanks, the Nuvi was one of the ones I was looking at when I first decided a GPS would be nice. Time to start saving my extra pennies.

And again, thanks to all for your input!!!
