Default FIAMM "Low Tone" Freeway Blaster Horn

My stock horn on my 2007 FXDC is anemic as are all stock Harley horns. I needed something louder and cheap. I found some posts from 2007 on this forum recommending the FIAMM horn and got a FIAMM "Low Tone" Freeway Blaster horn from Pep Boys for $19.95 (P/N is F72112) (It is also available at Auto Zone).

The horn is a direct replacement for the stock horn and fits the same under the "cowbell." The only thing I had to do was to bend down one of the two electrical prongs so I could rotate the horn so the trumpet wouldn't touch the "cowbell." No relay is needed.

The horn is about 30%-40% louder than stock and deeper. It sounds just like the car horn that it is.

FYI.

Last week, I had the "Pro Pad Mini Beast 2" installed on mine. Like you, the 82dB sound the stock horn puts out is useless and pathetic, especially if you happen to replace your exhaust. Who can hear an 82dB horn over your 94dB or louder pipes??? If I'm not mistaken, the Big Radius puts out 104dB.
The Mini Beast line of horns puts out 128dB's of "do I have your attention now" sound.....and they have a full line of different model covers which isincluded with horn. Today, with the radios, air, windows up and people yapping on cell phones.......you cant be too safe. That's my opinion at least.

I only see the Blazer Highway Blaster horn at Autozone's site http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...andName=Blazer

Is that the same one?

I just bought one from RyderFleetProducts.com it cost $14.80 after shipping. For $15 I figured I'd give it a try before dropping the money on an Air Horn.

I'm broke. So the cheapest louder horn for me will have to do. I think the FIAMM will be fine.

I did the same thing a year or two ago -- helped a lot, easy to istall, hides behind stock cow bell.
