Anyone know what the biggest tire the rim can handle?
**I know at least a 180mm
***I'm fenderless and strutless, this guy has a 200mm but not sure if it's a stock rim.
no it wouldn't be on a stock rim or at least i hope not. stock rim is 4.5" so a 180 tire would be the max for that or you can go to a 5.5" or 6" rim with a 200 tire....
While that is true, only some 180 tires can be mounted (within manufacturer recommendation) be sure to look at the minimum rim width they suggest in the description before you buy a tire, most shops won't mount it if the rim is too narrow for the tire.
I mounted an Avon Storm on mine.
although this does not answer your question... i am pretty sure when he posted up about the shop that did this build that they used his stock rim, not possitive, but pretty sure
I Can't be the only one that honestly thinks it looked better with the 160...I don't think it looks Bad, per say, but it's changed the focal point of the bike. I can't look at the bike and think, hm, not a bad looking scoot. I look and think, welp, there's a big fuggin' tire.
he was a member here a while back. not sure if he"s still active. i also think he used a rim/tire combo he got from a friend. search for his profile on here.
that 200 looks wicked with the rear fender he did. I would probably err on the side of caution with this, unless the manufacturer of the tire says it is safe to do, I would not try to put a 200 on a 4.5" width rim.

i'm sure you're not the only one, but a 200 does it for me
