Street Bob or Wide Glide ?
#21
Up until recently , I' would have said Wide Glide all the way ....
But now I WILL say , Street Bob . My tastes have changed , and I think I'd like to have a Street Bob . Wide Glide is a great bike, but I think I'd like to have a bike with less rake , and a 19' front wheel . Just to have better handling . Any way , can't go wrong, happy shopping !

Hey, I say Bob because I own one, but ride them both before you buy. How comfortable you feel sitting on it is not neccessarily how you will feel on the road. I contemplated the same 2 bikes in September...Now if you are looking @ 2010's here's my thoughts when shopping. I preferred the drag bars & the side mount plate on the Wide Glide. I preferred the short fender & the extra brake light on the Bob (safety reasons-not looks). I ride solo & always will, if someone needs a ride they can get their own bike. So I liked the solo seat on the bob compaired to the sissy bar & 2-up seat. But after I took them both for a spin...it was Bobber all the way!

Seems to me the Wide Glide has always been the 'finished package' of the Dyna line-up of models .... Sure you can do a few minor things to the WG like different wheels, pipes, seat, etc. ....
But, you don't have to change pegs/foot controls to 'forwards' since it already has 'em ... you don't see any threads about changing out the front wheel to a 21" since it already has it ... same with the wide front forks ... etc. ....
But, that makes the Street Bob much more susceptible to customizing it like no other ....
