I think they can look just fine. To each their own though....

I've always liked the smooth sleek lines of the Street Bob. I have no seen any hard saddle bags yet that merge with the lines of the bike smoothly without looking like 2 lunch boxes attached to the rear fender, that also maintain the clearance of the stock suspension.

If someone has some, post some pics and details. I'd love to get some hard saddle bags w/locks, that somehow keep the lines of the bike (something like the street glides).

I like the looks of those. Who makes them and what model? They look like they will fit perfectly between shocks and tail lights unless they are bigger than I think.

BigBad: I feel the trick with hard bags is switching out your fender. Most of the Dyna fenders are bobbed which looks out of place with hard bags.

Bags can look good and be functional too.

they are Leatherworks, out of Stockton, CA (http://www.leatherworksinc.com). the bags are their "128"s. they were NOT cheap but way i figure it is that i pay up front for bags that i should never have to replace. i've tried getting bags on the cheap and they always end up costing me more -- to fix/replace and aggravation.

The Streetglide bags are more square and we have rounded fenders...so you are either wanting a bag that follows the contours or one with the classic HD look.

The Corbin bags fit your description with the locks, clearance for the shocks and following the fender.

That's a half helmet down in there!

But they sure aren't like the Streetglide's...I think they have twice the room. You can mount the signals on the bag or use the filler pieces and come up with some other location for the signals.

Here's my '72 Super Glide with some bags I picked up. I think they look pretty good. I'm gonna paint 'em white, find some quick connects for the mounting brackets and put 'em on when I need 'em.
