Love mine! Looks great, and yes, my 09 has the straps already on it as well...so just threw the tire on.

Surely you jest.
You guys that say you already have the brackets?? Are you sayin the 180 kit came installed, and wires tied?
Vinsel, great pic - that really fills out the fender!

you can also look to a 170 for your rear. I believe metzeler and avon run those sizes for your 17" rim. No need to do anything to the fender bolts or need for a kit. Metz. and avon much better tires than dunlop IMHO and most others.

I just bought the 180 se tire from the dealership and let them put it on without the kit. The tech said the only thing he had to do was grind down the bolts holding my hd bags on so they would not rub. The tire fills out the rear fender nicely and rides better than the stock dunflop. I have about 500 miles on it now and just a few things I noticed about the tire is it don't catch all the grooves in the road and it sticks well even in wet conditions. It definately feel more stable than the stock tire.

Do this.

The ONLY reason I got a SE180, is that my stocker got a flat and I still had dealer cash to spend from a referral. So, combined with my discount it was reasonable and I did it. In the future, I will have some Metz or Avon's....

however, I do say the SE was an improvement over the stock junk. My bike did not have it on from the factory, but it does have the straps on the fender like in the kit shown on the other page. I don't know why, but it fit without needing to do anything.

Well, at least now I know what size tire I'll be going with when my 160 is in need of replacing. That 180 really fills things out nice.
