Default Proposed Bobtail fender mod

So, I did a little digital modding last night and I think when the time permits, I'm gonna get my rear fender and struts shortened. I don't know what type of tailight clearance issues this may cause so hold your questions/comments regarding that. Anyhow, I've attached before and after pics of what I'd like to get done. Comments anyone???

It's going to look like *** that way because even fully slammed the fender will be several inches above the tire.

Do it..it looks like something the MoCo should have done...at least you will be able to back into a parking spot without blocking off the sidewalk.

I think it'll look great. If you run into clearance issues with the tail light just take it out and either go to a side mount or tail light turn signals like a Nightster.

My mind is getting old so I don't remember who, but a previous member had done this and I think it looked good!

Bike was silver i do recall. I'm sure someone saved a picture of it, but that someone ain't me!
Inverted front end, Red Spoked wheels, Fatcat exhaust with decorative holes drilled in the header pipes.

I believe it was "The Metal"s bike but all photos of it are lost!!!

I think it will look good. But it should hug the tire a little more. Like Country Punk said, you dont want it to high up. Thats one of the things I dont like about some chopped fenders....they are just hacked off and there is a gap. I think the best chopped fenders hug the tire a little more.....I dont know if that makes any sense....but in my mind I know what I mean...lol.

im gonna say if you like it do it, the gap will not be much worse than a 09-10 bob fender is and most of the guys choppin their fenders leave HUGE gaps and everyone seems to like them, i think it will look good if done properly, but just remember if you look at your bike and your happy go for it

Wow... I think it looks great! As far as it not hugging the tire, as long as you keep the tail light under the fender it should work.
