Skidder, are you wanting more traditional style apes or radical? I can try and find different ideas if you are wanting to take the bike in a different direction.

Thanks for asking Funky. I like the traditional style most, like Wild 1 chubbys. Chrome for sure. It,s still in the shopping stage and I'm open to all idea's right now.

Slight threadjack. Lee, did you have any issues with clearance when you went to the 18s? Looks great. What size rubber did you put on? I'm looking to go to a set of spoked 18s soon.

No issues at all with the 18's. Here is what I bought:

18 x 3.5" front
18 x 5.5" rear
pulley
three rotors
Metzler ME880 130/70-18 front and 180/55-18 rear

I saw a pic of a Fatbob all done up by Harley this summer with 18's and once I saw it I knew that I had to go with 18's. It does change the handling characteristics of the bike a little though. It makes it drop much quicker into the corners(which I like). Overall I'm very pleased with the setup.

Thanks, that's just the feedback I was looking for. I race an R6 so the quicker turn in with the 18's will be a welcome change. I think I can get the R6 to full lean just by blinking the appropriate eye. Not that the bike handles like a pig with the stockers. It's actually not bad at all for a Harley.

Hey funky nova, like the look of the apes. I'm keen to get some for my fat bob.. Can you tell me what size /type they are, where I can get them from and how they go for comfort on long distance rides... Cheers....

14 " klock werks perfecta baby apes and 2" alloy art risers. there is plenty of wire so no extension is required. i do have to replace the clutch cable and throttle cables. i have not measured them yet but should get to it tomorrow. i will post my results.
