I put the black 2 into 1 Thunderheader on mine. I f***king love the deep rumble it gives. IMO it's not too loud. Actually quieter than I thought it would be but still damn loud. I wrapped the 2 pipe part in black exhaust wrap. IMO, it looks better than a 2 into 2 chrome set up. But I'm different evidently b/c everyone else has put 2 into 2 V&H it seems. I wanna say the pipes were around $500-600. I installed myself and took it to the dealer to get Dyno'd. Hope that helps

First off, how much money do you have to spend? Slipon mufflers are in the $200 range while full exhaust systems go from $300-$600 not including labor to deinstall the stock exhaust and to install the new exhaust. How much you have to spend will be a limiting factor.

Greetings,

I'm running the Vance and Hines ShortShot Staggereds on mine. Great sound, louder than hell, and yes I know I lost some torque because it's not a 2 into 1 pipe! They run about $330 not installed if you shop around.

Rinehart 2-1 (even though not a WG, that part doesn't matter).

LOVE the sound, came from slip on's and I really picked up some power I lost.

I paid $320 for them in chrome off Ebay. They were brand new, but the seller (Harley dealer back east) had them listed as fitting 06 models only.

Normally, they run in the $750 range. Which I would have never paid, but the quality is outstanding, sound amazing and look darn good, as they would on the WG. My father has a '10 WG, and hated the factory exhaust so we actually put a traditional 2-2 off a street bob with slip on's. Looks really good IMHO.

Here are my pipes.

i'm running the short shots like Jason628's, went through Feul Moto and got the pipes, the pcv and hi flo air cleaner in a package deal for around 750 dollars. Easy, do it yourself instructions and they program the pcv for your bike with the pipes and the air cleaner. Very simple procedure.

they also carry other styles of exhaust, the short shots are very budget friendly though. The more expensive the pipes the more expensive the kit as you probably can surmise.

they are also a board sponser. You need to call them for pricing on the package deal but i was really suprised at how competitive it was compared to other options (one option was my local dealer that wanted 1800 as a low end quote, GOOD GAWD)

if you browse this thread, it shows a bunch of examples of different exhausts also

I've gotten a bunch of ideas from there... good stuff.
