use a tube and siphen it out... or turn off the petcock, undo the fuel line and run a new one into a can (if you open your gas cap it goes faster)

you gotta take the console backing plate off and the petcock for paint. Dump it out.

the bike is in the house. need to drain it so i can take the line that equilizes the tank off without spilling the gas.

ah, siphen then.... still gonna have a house that smells like gas. I suggest bringing bike outside first. Unless the wheels are not on it or some other reason.

Definitely syphon it out is the way to go - did it a few days ago, straight into a fuel can - no probs. You MUST take it outside though, i did mine in the garage and it still stinks in there!
