OK, well, lets not take it THAT far! But I DID make my own hollow bolt!

Ive been trying to find the right size hollow bolt to re-mount my turn sigs directly to the fender, re-wiring them thru the bolt (so I dont have to drill an extra hole in the fender. Well, apparently you cant readily find one.

So! I took the old, looong, mounting bolts, drilled a partial thru-hole on the lathe, cut em off and tapped new threads on em.

Gonna gloat a while, then mount the sigs...

Get them mounted and post some pics! Pretty cool what you can do when you need to isn't it?

btw...pretty much all good fastener stores have hollow bolts. I know McFadden-Dale near me does. Maybe you don't have something like that near you.

Here ya go. Started with the long bolt (cuz thats what I had at midnight when I got home form work and found out the bolts I ordered were wrong) and ended up with the short one.
