You must put a washer under the neck bearing on the lower tree. On the newer Dynas the lower bearing seems to be recessed farther up in the neck. That spaces the top and bottom of the tree farther apart. So the tins/nachelle holes don't line up. It creates a problem in using a Quick Detach windshield. I'm going to work on that problem, but at this time I'm working on larger saddlebags. I have several pics in my Album.

1992 Dyna Fat Glide Custom
I did the "Fat Boy" conversion back in 1993 to my FXDC. I never regretted it. It's like the Dyna was built for it. It's even better knowing it's all HD factory paint.
As I've gotten older, the bike has changed a little. This year (2017) it got the windscreen, hard-bags, sissy bar and luggage rack. I guess I wanted to be a little more comfortable riding out to the Sturgis Bike Rally.
