Default 2010 fxdc

Hello to all the dyna guys here. Buying my first Harley soon. Was getting a used softail but went to dealer and loved the super glide custom.

Anyone got any info on prices on these? I got two so far. Both prices are for black and out the door.

1 for $14600 with with security
1 for $14500 without it.

Plus the discount on Harley stuff the day of deal.

Sound about right? Too much?

Baically msrp + a small prep fee.

Thanks in advance

Greetings,

You might want to look for an 09...I know a lot of dealers still have them and you'd get a better deal. It's the same bike...No changes.

That sounds high, I paid considerably less out the door (including tax, prep, fees etc) for my 09 FXDC this summer, msrp is the same on the 09-10. They still have a year to sell that 2010 so they are in no hurry right now. Amazing bike by the way.

Change to black cases and different grind on 5th gear (eliminate 5th gear whine complaints) for 2010. Have seen post recently here from buyer in Michigan that paid MSRP OTD. Best I've been offered was MSRP plus tax, for about $13,700 OTD. I haven't seen a 2009 FXDC in SE Michigan lately, but $14,500 would probably buy one of the few remaining 2009 Low Riders I've seen. Locally, dealers don't want to stock them. Claim is that touring bikes are still selling (and sell all year) and they don't want to spend the effort on lower margin bikes like the Dyna's with factory production cuts limiting what they get anyway.

Thanks for all the replies.first off I would like to say I'm glad I'm not in Greece.Ouch! $25000 can get me a hooked up street glide here plus have a little extra for goodies. No one around here has 09's left. Plus I do like the look of the black engine over the silver. I figured it was kinda high. He is the only one with a black one in stock. Do they take a while to come in when ordered?.Yes its winter now but we still got some nice riding days.also I'm told the prep price is just a buffer.this true.

Also in case a new one don't work out, does anyone got any tips on what to look for when buying a used bike? My 2 buds have busy schedules and can never meet up to look for me. I worked on cars for years. Just never bikes.any tips would be apreciated.

Sounds a little high to me too. My 07 was 15k OTD and that was the year before they dropped the MSRP on the FXDC's over a thousand dollars. My dealer charged no silly extra fees though but I also got nothing extra. Prep/setup is just added dealer profit but a lot of dealers will charge $500 for it and then turn around and give you $500 in store credit. But they actually aren't "giving" you anything there. All I paid was MSRP plus tax, title, and tags.
