Default Thunderheaders and heat shields

I swear this is the last question I am asking about my thunderheaders. I cheaped out when I ordered them and did not get the head shields, should I have? I figure they will at least cover the bluing at the top of the pipe. If someone talks me into getting them I might as well get them before I instal the pipe only to have to take it off again to put the heat shields on!

Hmm.. the heat shields are OK. I'd have a hard time riding my bike if it didn't have the shields though cause these pipes get hot. But the heat shields just cover the top portion of the pipes where they get into the port, and where the 2 pipes meet the collector. My pipes came with the heat shields when I bought them. I'm not to sure if I would have bought them seperately. Tough choice. If heat is your problem, then get the shields. If not, then just wrap em.

That is a pretty sweet color combo...

Heat does not really become an issue here for more then 2 months of the year... But for the times I get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic I suppose I wouldn't want to cook my legs off (or other parts of my anatomy).
