RE: StreetBob Color Poll
I like 'em all.......
Sorry to hear some of you fell for a color.........you can repaint ANY bike. "Denim Black" is simply black with a "flattener" added to the clear coat to make it look flat black, when in reality it is Vivid black with the flat clear coat.
If I wanted to, I could paint my Susie Black with a flat clear coat and still be there!
Now, you did get the black motor, etc. which is really cool!
What really looks cool is when the bike is painted a mustard yellow, and then painted a medium blue over it. Then the blue is sanded on the edges so that the yellow shows through, and then is clear coated with the flattener in the clear. Then have Harley davidson painted on in a Cream color made to look vintage..........alot of the Street rodders have done this, and it makes the car look like it's a survivor from the 50's. Would work on a Harley too![&:]

Yeah, I liked the black motor too. And I also would have taken the black cherry had I not been able to get the denim. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the whole denim package caught my eye- hard. I'm not real crazy about the fact that the denim is supposed to "age" and patina to give it an old look. I figure by then I'll be tired of the denim and I'll be ready for paint- always wanted a yellow bike, too!

I saw the black denim, but didn't really like the looks of the bike. It looked too bland. When I came across the cobalt, the bob looked like a different bike with the deep blue contrasting nicely with the black and splashes of silver. When I see cobalt on the FL models though, it looks like there's too much of it. It's a good thing that different colors appeal to different people or we'd all be riding the same looking thing.
