Agreed. I always seem to end up on a gravel road or two when following my GPS, and it seems like it'd be easy to get a stone up in there. With bags on, you can't see it real well anyway I don't think.

Removal could give H-D a basis for refusing warrantied repairs for certain things--as I was politely reminded of during a dealer visit awhile back.

seems like i about started a damn fight. i'm probably gonna take it off, i just think it looks clunky on an otherwise clean bike. granted it is all black and blends in...

as for the "passenger" issues...my girlfriend hasn't rode since i sold my fatboy and even when she does, it's a blast to the beach in the summer and she's rockin a pair of shorts anyway.

Which front sprocket did you use for your swap? I broke the belt on mine and am considering putting a chain back on.

Wow, really? I wonder how many are doing that... I figured by now all the hickups would be out of the belted final drive... I'm gonna convert mine to shaft.
