Default Stupid Streetbob front tire question

I am kicking around either putting a 21 inch wheel on the front or a 16 incher.

If I were to put a 21 inch wheel on the front with a 120 tire how much higher would the front sit?

If I were to buy the progressive drop-in kit it says I could lower the front 2 inches. I currently have the 11 inch shocks on the rear(1 inch shorter than stock). So, if I am doing my math correctly I would need to drop the front 3 inches to even it out?

I ytold you it was a stupid question

1st of all the front on a SB is a 19" wheel..
The differance between a 21" and a 19" is on course 2".
However only 1" of that is below the axle thus raising your front 1"..
If even That.

(edit) I did notice it felt a little higher on my change to a 21", but I didn't measure so dont know for sure what it did..

Thanks Ron,

I though I read the same thing somewhere else but just wanted to verify. So I should be good to go by getting the drop-in kit and drop the front 2 inches.

The 21" clears the stock fender ... not sure if it takes up a little of the space .... but, I am under the impression that the tire for the 21" is a little lower profile ...

So ... it might not be even an inch worth of difference ....

Same thing for the 16" only opposite logic applies ... the inch-and-a-half is somewhat made up by the 'higher' profile tire ....

Thats absoutely right..
The 21" does take up some of the fender space, but still fits nicely.
And I agree with your low profile idea, probably is less than an inch..

Most if not all the tyre brands publish dimensions on their websites. I use Avon Venoms and they include fitted overall diameter, so you can easily compare different sizes of tyre. Other brands are likely to be very similar.
