Default Got my 18" wheels put on the fatbob tonight (few pics)

Hey everyone,

Tonight I managed to get my wheels put on the fatbob. I went with Metzler 880's and 18" Rampage Orion wheels. I didn't weigh them but there are several pounds of weight difference between the stockers and this setup. I could tell it had a little more power to the rear wheels(not that it needed it. Install took us about 2.5 hours but we took our time and spent more time talking than working.

As far as ride quality keep in mind I only got to take it for about a 20 mile ride home. The bike seems to turn into corners better and be a little more nimble for swinging the bike around pot holes and obstacles but the ride is harsher than I expected. It's a trade off that I am happy with though.

yep it was a bolt on deal. No mods needed. Plenty of fender clearance.

thnx man. I'm really please with the way the bike turned out. The only thing I have left on my list at this point is a set of chrome controls on the handlebars but that will probably wait until after the first of the year.

Wheels look great. It is amazing what dropping weight from the wheels does for the bikes handling... Good luck.

Looks great! How do you like that seat and is the backrest easily removable?

Thanks. The backrest is easily removed but I HATE the seat. I am sending it off to be rebuilt by Russell Day Long Saddles towards the end of the month. Most people love the mustang seats but I have had two different mustangs(one on the fb and one on the Ultra) and both of them didn't agree with me.
